  Sunday dinner at a restaurant before I walk around Walmart. Yo Sushi is the place to go.
  
  Their sushi was amazing! Their slices are huge.
  
  If you are not craving for sushi they have ramen and other food.
  
  Recommend eating here.

  I stopped here on my way home, looking for a quick bite. I was craving sushi and i've been to the yo sushi in the vallejo area so assumed it wasn't going to be much different. Initially wary of the review online, I proceeded and decided that I should give it a try anyway. I ordered two bowls of ramen(shoyu and spicy seafood) and a crown california roll. The crown roll was pretty good. The ramen came out, and what a disappointment that was. Both bowls weren't good at all. The broth for the shoyu and spicy seafood tasted like it was old, almost rancid. I hated to send it back but I couldn't stomach the taste. The cashier/server was very polite though and ask the food if it was okay if we could exchange the seafood ramen for another roll. I felt so bad, so i ordered a roll that was cheaper than the price of the ramen.
  
  The roll that she gave me in place of the ramen was disrespectful. It wasn't rolled properly and it was literally falling apart when I tried to pick it up and eat it. I understand that it could be frustrating to have to remake or make an entirely different dish because someone didn't like the original. But why would you put the integrity of your craft on the line. I know this person can make a roll because the first one came out nice. But to put that pitiful roll in front of me when I ask for a new item is disrespectful and shows an obvious lack of concern for the customers happiness. Get it together.

  I'm sure a lot of fellow yelpers are thinking "What!! Is she out of her mind? Only 2 stars??".
  
  I do have to say that it's pretty hard to please me with Japanese food. I enjoy fresh fish and the art and presentation of sushi. Yes, this place has a lot to offer and yes, the price is pretty good, but the rolls just didn't hit the spot for me, the tempura was cold, and I wasn't a fan of the small seating area. I got what I paid for. The service was ok. Nothing to rave about. And I left feeling unsatisfied. Only 2 stars for me because I won't go back. I'd rather pay more for better quality.

  Whoa  the portion size has gone way down! They seem really busy at noon and understaffed. My sushi was not made right, falling apart. Also, not sure if the ingredients were accurate. Not many Japanese spots in Martinez. Large menu and lots of regulars and take out orders.

  Firstly... there are so. many. choices! I didn't try any sushi this time around, only because I am expecting and didn't want to risk my fetus becoming upset which would then upset me. I recommend their salmon sashimi (salmon is ok in small quantities if you're preggo, relax) and ramen selections. Don't expect the noodles to be made by a chef from Japan and the broth to have been brewing for a day or two with bones to really soak in some flavor, after all, it's a $8-$10 bowl of hot soup and noodles. If you're craving some decent ramen and don't wish to break your wallet, I recommend Yo Sushi.
  
  Their salmon on the contrary is quite tasty! Fresh as it should be, not fishy tasting as it should not be. The cuts are think and there is enough to share if you're feeling generous, or rather a hefty portion for yourself. Whichever you choose, service is quick and painless and food arrives shortly.
